Great Western Railway partners with THE PIG Hotels in glamorous giveaway
Great Western Railway (GWR) is giving its customers a First Class chance to escape to the country with THE PIG Hotels for two nights of food, wine and luxury.
One lucky winner will have the chance to win a two-night stay at one of THE PIG’s unique and beautiful hotels located on the Great Western network by entering the competition on GWR.com, the GWR app, or on GWR’s Facebook, Instagram or X accounts.
The prize of a relaxing, midweek stay for two also includes a three-course dinner, breakfast, a private wine tasting with the head sommelier, and a kitchen garden tour. A First Class journey on a GWR service will get the winner’s stay off to a smooth start, with complimentary refreshments on board and some of the best train views to be found in the UK.
At heart, THE PIG boutique hotels are restaurants with rooms. There are three PIGs on the Great Western network – near Bath in Somerset, at Combe in Devon, and Harlyn Bay in Cornwall – all nestled in gorgeous countryside. Everything centres around the kitchen garden to create menus full of the freshest seasonal flavours. What can’t be grown on-site is sourced within 25 miles from farmers, fishmongers and foragers – so each hotel retains a sense of place.

- Entry must be completed by 23:59 on 8 October 2023.
- Only one entry per person. No third-party or bulk entries.
- Prize Draw is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, except employees and their immediate families of Great Western Railway or anyone professionally connected with this competition.
- One winner to be selected. THE PIG hotel tickets are subject to availability and there is no cash alternative. Prize available Monday – Thursday only & cannot be redeemed on bank holidays or during any school holidays.
- The prize is inclusive of:
I Two-night midweek stay for two people (subject to availability) at THE PIG at Harlyn Bay, Cornwall; THE PIG near Bath, Somerset; or THE PIG at Combe, Devon.
II One three-course dinner for two guests with a bottle of wine.
III Breakfast for two people on two mornings.

VI Two GWR First Class Anytime Return tickets for travel on GWR services only. - The Prize is subject to availability. GWR First Class tickets to be used by 13 October 2024. THE PIG two-night hotel stay must be redeemed between 1 November 2023 and 13 October 2024. This date will not be extended as the result of any Covid-19 restrictions. There is no cash alternative or credit alternative to the Prize and the Prize cannot be exchanged for its cash value.
- Any extra costs incurred are not included within the Prize.
- Prize does not include any further food and beverages, spa treatments, or in-room larder spend unless otherwise stated.
- Great Western Railway reserves the right to provide a substitute prize should the specified Prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. The Prize is not transferable.
- Great Western Railway reserves the right to check the validity of any entry. Entries failing to comply with these rules will not be accepted.
- Great Western Railway assumes no responsibility for any failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Great Western Railway on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any web site.
